A first foothold

The Verdant Reach.

Open glades, river valleys, and temperate woodland. Gentle enough to begin. Wild enough to teach you.

Learn the sounds
of familiar ground.

Oak and birch canopies frame meadows and clear rivers. The current design places the Verdant Reach at the beginning of the survivor’s journey, where gathering, shelter, and wildlife become the first lessons.

Bramblehorn herds browse the open ground. Thornback Amblers open paths through young growth. As daylight fades, Duskhowl calls change the character of the valley.

Terrain

Woodland and water.

Rolling forest, limestone bluffs, and braided rivers create choices about travel and where to settle.

Preparation

A first camp.

Wood, stone, and plant fiber support the first tools and shelter. Water and warmth stay part of the plan.

Awareness

Night has its own life.

Watch for signs of predators. Weather and river conditions can change what familiar terrain demands.
